Find Your Street
Search by name or tap "Map" to browse an interactive map of all 1,027 streets in Fall River.

Report What You See
Tap a street card and hit "Plowed" or "Not Plowed" based on current conditions. Allow location access when prompted — this places a pin on the map showing exactly where on the street you're reporting from. On the map, tap any road to vote.

Majority Rules
Each street's status is determined by the majority of all votes during the current storm. As more neighbors report a street as plowed, it flips from red to green. The status stays until enough people vote to flip it the other way.

Come Back After the Plow
You can vote again after an hour. If your street gets plowed later in the day, come back and update it.

How Street Statuses Are Calculated

A street's plowed or not plowed status is based on the total number of votes it has received during the current storm cycle. Whichever side has more votes wins. If a street has 5 "plowed" votes and 3 "not plowed" votes, it shows as plowed. If the votes are tied, the most recent vote breaks the tie.

Statuses are sticky — once a street is voted plowed, it stays plowed until enough "not plowed" votes flip it. This means a street plowed at 2 AM still shows as plowed the next morning, even if no one has voted recently. When a new storm hits, all votes are cleared and every street resets to unknown.

City Verified Streets

Some streets may display a gold "City Verified" badge alongside the green "Plowed" badge. This means a city official has confirmed the street has been plowed. Citizen votes still work on verified streets — if you notice issues on a verified street, you can still report it as "Not Plowed" and your vote will be counted. This helps the city see where problems remain even on streets they've marked as done.

About the Map

The map shows every street colored by its current status:

Green — Plowed (majority of votes say plowed)
Red — Not Plowed (majority of votes say not plowed)
Gold — City Verified (officially confirmed plowed by the city)
Gray — Unknown (no votes yet)

Road geometry comes from official MassGIS data. Tap any road on the map to see its status and vote.

Map Filtering

Use the layer control in the top-right corner of the map to show or hide different categories. You can toggle plowed, not plowed, verified, and unknown streets individually, or use the "Hide All / Show All" button to quickly clear or restore the map. Colored pins show where people have reported from, giving a sense of plow coverage along longer streets — these can be toggled on and off as well.

Activity Chart

The activity chart on the homepage shows a 12-hour snapshot of recent voting activity — how many plowed vs. not plowed votes have come in hour by hour. This is separate from the street statuses themselves, which reflect all accumulated votes during the storm.

Fair Voting

To keep data accurate, voting is rate-limited. You can cast up to 5 votes every 5 minutes. All votes are anonymous.
